COMMUNITY SERVICE | Canned Food Drive Another Success

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, Va. -- Richard Bland Athletics recently conducted another successful Canned Food Drive to benefit The Hope Center in Petersburg. Fans were asked to bring a canned food to the November 29 men's basketball game against Pitt (N.C.) Community College (W 92-76) in Statesman Hall.

"We are proud to donate the canned goods collected on the Richard Bland College campus, as well as at our November 29 men's basketball game, to The Hope Center," said Danish Saadat, Coordinator of Marketing & Special Events.  "This year, I am very proud of our Cheerleading team as they came together to collect quite a bit of the canned goods donated.  It's always nice for our student-athletes to give back to our community."
