Bio

Brandon Henry is in his first year as a student assistant men's basketball coach during 2017-18.  He is a third-year student at Richard Bland College, including two years as a student-athlete on the men's basketball team.  Henry did not play during 2015-16 while taking a redshirt season, before playing in 30 games during 2016-17.

Henry averaged 11.3 minutes, 6.2 points and 2.5 rebounds during 2016-17, while shooting 46% (61-134) from the field, including 36% (17-47) on three-point field goals, and 62% (47-76) at the free throw line.  He added 19 assists, 17 steals and four blocks, with six double-figure scoring games.  Henry posted season-highs of 17 points vs. Pitt (N.C.) (1/19), seven rebounds three times, most recent at Bryant & Stratton (1/22), four assists vs. Frederick (Md.) (11/12), three steals at Catawba Valley (N.C.) (2/4), two three-point field goals five times, most recent vs. Louisburg (N.C.) (2/8) and 21 minutes vs. Pitt (N.C.) (1/19).

A native of Chester, Henry is a 2014 graduate of Henry Abbott Tech in Danbury, Connecticut where he was a two-time All-State and All-Region selection.  Brandon averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists as a senior, following a junior season when he averaged 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
