STATESMEN BASKETBALL SPENDS TIME WITH PETER PAUL DEVELOPMENT CENTER

PETERSBURG, Va. – The Richard Bland Statesmen Men's basketball team spent a couple of hours at the Peter Paul Development Center in Richmond, Va. as a community service initiative.

The squad colored pictures with the children, who ranged from second to fourth grade students, and then instructed basketball drills that included ball handling, defensive slides and shooting drills before the team handed out prepared meals to the children.

The Peter Paul Development Center is the oldest continually operating community in Richmond's East End. Its mission is to support the residents of the East End and educate its students, equipping them to serve as positive contributors to their family, community and society.
