RBC HOOPS CLAIMS FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN

PINEHURST, N.C. – The No. 11 Richard Bland men's basketball team clinched its fourth consecutive victory, 72-69 over Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute in the Region X Blast-Off Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Tavon Mealy (Richmond, VA) led the Statesmen with 16 points while freshman Reginald Moses (Henrico, VA) chipped in 10 points off the bench.

Brian Adkins (Aberdeen, MD) ignited a scoring run with six points to help lead the Statesmen offensively, 22-16 at the 7:50 mark.

However, the Cobras would make a run to tie the ball game, 32-32 with 2:13 remaining in the first half. The Statesmen would lead by two, 34-32 going into intermission.

As the second half got underway, the Cobras kept a steady pace with RBC but the Statesmen never let up to secure their fourth straight win.

Richard Bland will return to action on Nov. 18th when they travel to Wake Tech. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
