RBC HOOPS PLAYS HOST TO TIDEWATER WEDNESDAY

PETERSBURG, Va. – After taking a few days off over Thanksgiving break, the Statesmen are looking to improve its seven-game win streak on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. when they host the Storm of Tidewater Community College for its first game of homecoming week.

The game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Radio Network with Steve "Da Truth" Nugent. Fans can also watch live stats on RBCathletics.com.

In participating in "Homecoming" Week, the week-long celebration focused on bringing the students, faculty and staff together in recognition of Richard Bland College. Wednesday vs. Tidewater, is the RBC blackout game where all fans are asked to wear a black tee-shirt in support of the Statesmen.

RBC (7-0, 2-0 Region X) scored a season-high in a half with 74 points in the first half to blow out Vance-Granville (115-57) on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Five Statesmen scored in double-figures with Ugba leading the pack with 22 points, following Mealy's 17 points, while sophomore Evan Bates (Midlothian, VA) and freshman Isreal Stith's (Brunswick, VA) 12 points, and Melvin Gregory (Weems, VA) 10 points.

Overall, three players are averaging double-figures in Mealy with 20.4 ppg, Ugba at 13.4 ppg and freshman Reginald Moses (Henrico, VA) posting 11.1 ppg.

The Storm, under direction of head coach Edward McInnis are 3-4 on the season, 2-1 in Region X play.

The Statesmen lead the series with Tidewater 2-0, since the program has been reinstated.
