RBC HOOPS MOVE TO NO. 9 IN NATIONAL POLL

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Richard Bland College men's basketball team moved to No. 9 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Polls on Tuesday night. RBC, who received 152 votes, have been ranked in the top 20 three times since the Chuck Moore era.

In his first season, RBC head coach Chuck Moore had guided his team to a 27-4 record and a No. 1 national ranking while finishing second place regular season runner-up honors just one year ago. Richard Bland started the 2014-2015 season ranked No. 11 in Division II men's basketball.

The Statesmen currently remain undefeated with a 7-0 record overall and 2-0 in league play.

RBC is just one of two teams from the Region X conference ranked in the top 10 polls.

The Statesmen will be in action this evening, hosting conference foe Tidewater in the first game of homecoming week. All fans are asked to wear a black tee-shirt in support of the Statesmen blackout.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will provide live stats on RBCathletics.com and audio on Fox Sports Radio Network with Steve "Da Truth" Nugent.
