MEN’S BASKETBALL CLIMBS NATIONAL POLLS TO No. 5

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Richard Bland men's basketball team moved to No. 5 this week in the latest National Junior College Athletics Association Division II Polls. The polls were released on Tuesday from the NJCAA headquarters.

RBC (10-0) was picked No. 11 during the NJCAA Division II preseason polls and has steadily moved up in the rankings since then, earning top 10-ranked in each of the regular-season polls.

The Statesmen are one of three institutions that represent the Region X conference in Louisburg (11-0) at No. 1 and Bryant & Stratton (8-1) at No. 20.

Along with Louisburg College, Kishwaukee College, Des Moines Area Community College and Phoenix College all stand in front of the Richard Bland. The remainder of the top 10 concludes with Cincinnati State Technical & CC, Mott Community College, Kirkwood Community College, Southwestern Community College and Brown Mackie College.

The Statesmen will travel to Guilford Tech on Saturday, Dec. 13th in Jamestown, N.C. for a Region X conference match-up. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m.
