No. 5 RICHARD BLAND TRAVELS TO GUILFORD TECH SATURDAY

PETERSBURG, Va. – In its last game of the 2014 year, the fifth-ranked Richard Bland men's basketball team will travel to Jamestown, N.C. to face Region X foe Guilford Tech Community College on Saturday, Dec. 13^th. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m.

The Statesmen remain undefeated on the season with a 10-0 record overall and 5-0 in Region X play.

Tavon Mealy (Richmond, Va.) leads RBC in scoring at 20.8 ppg, following Avery Ugba (Silver Springs, Md.) at 12.4 ppg and Reginald Moses (Henrico, Va.) with 10.8 ppg. Defensively, both Ugba and Mealy lead the team in rebounds with 8.4 rebounds per game.

Guilford Tech posted a 3-6 record on the season. In their last outing, the Titans suffered a setback to Patrick Henry Community College on Wednesday in a 74-68 decision.

This game will be the first match-up between the two teams this season. Last season, the Statesmen were 2-0 against the Titans.
