No. 4 RICHARD BLAND WIN AT BRUNSWICK

SUPPLY, N.C. – The fourth-ranked Richard Bland College men's basketball team defeated Brunswick Community College, 87-65 in its last non-conference match-up of the season on Wednesday night.  

 

The Statesmen had five players score in double-figures, including Avery Ugba (Silver Springs, MD) with 15 points. Troy Gibson (Heritage) and Melvin Gregory (Lancaster) accounted for 12 points each while Jhamir White (Paterson, NJ) and Tavon Mealy (Armstrong) both tallied 11 points, respectively.

 

The win improves the Statesmen to 21-3 overall while the Dolphins drop to 10-14 on the season.

 

The Statesmen will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 7th when they travel to Kinston, N.C. in a head-to-head Region X match-up against Lenoir Community College. The contest is set to begin at 3 p.m.
