COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) placed NJCAA DII National Men's Basketball Coach of the Year Chuck Moore of Richard Bland College and All-American and Region X Player of the Year forward Tavon Mealy on its 2015 JUCO All-Star Game held on Saturday, May 9 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

The All-Star Game will take place at 4:30 p.m. and will feature 12 players from NJCAA Division I institutions which will make up the "West" and 12 players from NJCAA Division II institutions that will represent the "East". The game will be played as two 20-minute halves.

Moore, the 2015 NJCAA DII Tournament Most Outstanding Coach, led his team to a National Championship on Mar. 21 after defeating John Wood Community College (64-53). He also led his team to a Region 10 Conference Championship this season after a 20-year hiatus from athletics. Moore claims a 59-8 overall record in just two years as the head coach for the men's basketball program.

Moore will coach the "East" alongside Jon Havens of Richland College while Steve Demeo from Northwest Florida State College will lead the "West".

Mealy helped lead the Statesmen to a NJCAA Tournament Championship this season. It was the first appearance and first championship in program history. He was the Region 10 Player of the Year and the leading scorer on the squad this season after averaging 17.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per contest.

In two season and 59 career games, Mealy surpassed the 1,000-point plateau, becoming the second player in program history to do so and currently ranks second on the all-time scoring list with 1,065 points.
