Richard Bland Up To No. 9 In This Week's NJCAA Division II Poll
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, Va. -- Richard Bland College has moved into the National Top 10 at No. 9 in this week's NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Poll, as released Tuesday afternoon. The Statesmen are currently 11-2 overall, including 4-0 in Region X, with seven consecutive wins – the last three region wins by an average of 27 points (at Pitt CC, 80-57; Catawba Valley CC, 89-66; Guilford Tech CC, 103-67). Richard Bland will play one more game this week before the Christmas Holiday break, a Region X road game at Vance-Granville (N.C.) Community College on Wednesday, December 14 at 6 p.m. in Henderson, North Carolina.
Richard Bland is up four spots from its ranking of No. 13 last week and has now won 11 of its first 13 games this season. South Suburban College (Ill.) (12-0) is ranked No. 1 in this week's poll after being ranked No. 2 last week. Region X member Louisburg (N.C.) College (8-3) is ranked No. 17 this week, while Region X member Bryant & Stratton (8-4) is receiving votes this week.
