Richard Bland Ranked No. 8 In This Week's NJCAA Division II Top 20
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, Va. -- Richard Bland College is ranked No. 8 in this week's NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Poll, as released Wednesday afternoon. The nationally-ranked Statesmen are currently 14-3 overall, including 7-1 in Region X, with 10 wins in their last 11 games overall. Richard Bland welcomes Pitt (N.C.) Community College on Thursday night, January 19 at 7 p.m. in Statesman Hall.
Richard Bland dropped two spots this week following a 71-66 Region X road setback at No. 16 Louisburg (N.C.) College on Jan. 14, after being tied for No. 6 in last week's poll. The Statesmen, however, bounced back nicely with their 92-66 home win past Fayetteville Technical (N.C.) Community College on Monday night (Jan. 16). Southwestern (Iowa) Community College (17-0) is ranked No. 1 this week, up from No. 2 a week ago, while region rival Louisburg (11-3) is ranked No. 13 this week.
