Richard Bland Back Up To No. 6 In Latest NJCAA Division II Top 20
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, Va. -- Richard Bland College is ranked No. 6 in this week's NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Poll, as released late Tuesday. The nationally-ranked Statesmen are currently 16-3 overall, including 9-1 in Region X, with 12 wins in their last 13 games overall. Richard Bland is scheduled to play at in-state and region rival Patrick Henry Community College on January 25 at 7 p.m.
Richard Bland moved up two spots this week following a pair of Region X wins, including an 87-83 home win past Pitt (N.C.) Community College on Jan. 19 and an 87-54 road triumph at Bryant & Stratton College on Jan. 22. The Statesmen had been ranked No. 8 in last week's poll. Southwestern (Iowa) Community College (19-0) is ranked No. 1 for the third-straight week, while region rival Louisburg (13-3) is ranked No. 10 this week.
