Richard Bland At Region X Fall Championships Saturday & Sunday

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, Va. -- The Richard Bland College men's golf team will compete at the Region X Fall Championships on November 5-6 at the River Falls Plantation Golf Course in Duncan, South Carolina. The 36-hole event will include one round of 18 holes each day on Saturday and Sunday.

The Statesmen of second-year head coach Dr. Shawn Holt will compete this weekend with sophomore Sam Smith/Chesterfield, along with freshmen Justin Cranford/Lakeland, Fla., Garrett Larson/Gainesville, Frankie Lin/Kaohsiung City, Taiwan and Sebastian Reetze/Bad Salzdetfurth, Germany. Also competing will be sophomore Zack Almarode/Hendersonville, Tenn. and freshman Owen Larson/Gainesville. Lin leads the team in scoring with his 74.2 average, followed by Smith (76.2), Garrett Larson (80.0), Cranford (80.8), Reetze (81.4), Almarode (92.0) and Owen Larson (94.0). Richard Bland has averaged 308.6 per round as a team.

The tournament in South Carolina will complete the fall season for Richard Bland.
