Frankie Lin Ties For 30th At NJCAA Division I National Tournament

FINAL RESULTS

GARDEN CITY, Kan. -- Richard Bland College freshman Frankie Lin/Kaohsiung City, Taiwan posted a 72-hole score of 74-79-77-74--304 at the 2017 NJCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship Tuesday through Friday at the Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, Kansas.  Lin tied for 30th among the field of 105 individuals competing at the 6,891-yard, par 72 layout located approximately 375 miles west of Kansas City.

Lin was playing in his first national tournament, and averaged 76.0 per round throughout the event.  His opening and closing rounds of two-over par 74 were his best rounds of the week, and he finished with eight birdies, including four during the final round, and 42 pars over the four days.  Lin ranked in a tie for 29th in pars and was tied for 37th in birdies, while ranking in a tie for 10th in par 4 scoring (4.18, +7) and in a tie for 31st in par 5 scoring (5.00, E).

Odessa (Texas) College won the NJCAA Division I Men's Golf Team Championship with its 284-292-297-293--1166, and Ricky Sanders of team runners-up Indian Hills (Iowa) Community College (1170) was the individual medalist (champion) with his three-under par 70-73-72-70--285.
