STATESMEN SOCCER BATTLES HARD BUT FALLS TO REGIONAL FOE CAPE FEAR

Wilmington, NC, September 28, 2013- The Statesmen looked like a different team from the past outing against regional rival Cape Fear Community College. The Sea Devils were able to outlast Richard Bland despite their effort. "There was a huge difference in the way we played against them earlier in the week", added Head Coach Matt Weiler.

The Statesmen will host the next five regional matches at home, with the next against the Storm of Tidewater Community College. The Statesmen defeated the Storm in the first game of the season on the road. The game will be at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Statesman Field.
