RICHARD BLAND DROPS REGIONAL CONTEST TO USC-SALKEHATCHIE

Petersburg, VA, October 6, 2013- The Indians of USC-Salkehatchie came into Statesman Field and took down the Statesmen 8-0. After a 4-0 lead at the half, the visitors never looked back as they earned a regional win over the Statesmen.

The Indians were led by Ferenchik Dennis Paul who was one goal short of a hat trick and scored both of his goals back to back at the 9:16 minute and 5:40 mark of the first half. The Statesmen struggled early on and never climbed back into the game despite fighting hard and playing in the humid conditions. The Statesmen were led by Carleton Anderson who battled all day against the Indians.

With the next 10 days without competition, the Statesmen are back in action against the Patriots of Patrick Henry Community College on Wednesday October 16, 2013 at 3:30 p.m.
