MEN’S SOCCER SHOVELS RICHARD BLAND

PETERSBURG, Va. – The Richard Bland men's soccer team braved ice, snow banks, and slush puddles to help facilities shovel out tons of snow, clearing sidewalks, pathways and fire hydrants on the campus of Richard Bland on Thursday.

The snow-removal effort will count as a community service initiative for the student-athletes. The team worked very hard while also having fun, mobilizing parking lot areas and utilizing shovels that were provided.

"This is a good opportunity for the men's soccer team to show that it is a force for good community," said Head Coach Eduardo De Souza.

"I'm very elated that my team wanted to be a part of this," De Souza added. "It made a huge difference."
