Richard Bland Up To No. 17 In This Week's NJCAA Division I Poll
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, Va. -- Richard Bland College moved up to No. 17, its highest ranking ever, in this week's NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer Poll, as released Tuesday afternoon. The unbeaten Statesmen are ranked for the third consecutive week after previously being ranked No. 19 for the past two weeks. Richard Bland is currently 10-0 overall, including 8-0 in Region X, while enjoying its best-ever start to a season. The Statesmen are scheduled to play at home today (Tuesday, September 26, 4 p.m.) against Region X archrival Louisburg (N.C.) College at the Statesman Soccer Field.
Richard Bland was ranked among the Top 20 for the first time in the five-year history of the program on Sept. 12, and remains the only Region X team in the rankings again this week. St. Louis (Mo.) Community College (12-0) is ranked No. 1 in this week's poll, up from second a week ago.
