SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA--The Richard Bland College of William & Mary men's soccer team defeated Cape Fear 5-0 this afternoon at Cape Fear's Soccer Field.
 
With this result, the Statesmen improved to 8-2-1 and will next play against Lancaster at home this Friday, October 5 for a 2pm kickoff.

Sophomore Umar Mujahid opened the scoring for the Statesmen in the 10th minute with a goal shot by his head. Freshman Gorka Delgado assisted with the goal. Gorka
then got on the score sheet in the 40th minute with a delicate shot over the incoming Cape Fear goalie's head. Sophomore Romeo Kayizali assisted Gorka for the goal. Romeo extended the Statesmen's lead 3 minutes into the second half when he guided Umar's long ranged kick past the Cape Fear's goalie. Gorka completed his hat trick with his second and third goal in the 58th and 80th minute. Both of his goals were unassisted.
