STATESMEN SHOWED STRIDES, ADDED ANOTHER QUALIFIER FOR NATIONALS

PETERSBURG, VA, FEBRUARY 22, 2014- Richard Bland College's Joshua Washington placed first in the men's 200 meters and then finished third in the 60 meter dash at the Dennis Craddock Invitational, held on Saturday, February 22, at The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC.

Washington's 200 meters time of 21.67 was a season personal best and the 23rd fastest time in America. Washington's third place time of 6.89 in the 60 meter dash was a season personal best as well.

James Drummond placed 13th in the 200 meters with a time of 23.33.

Maxwell Chambers finished third in the 800 meter run with a personal best time of 1:58:16.

Adrian Jackson qualified for nationals in the 60 meter hurdles with a personal best time of 8.41and second place finish.

The Statesmen now travels to New York, NY. to compete in the NJCAA Indoor Nationals, set to be held from March 6-8, 2014 at The Armory Track & Field Center, hosted by Monroe College.
