STATESMEN HEAD TO CNU HOLIDAY OPEN

PETERSBURG, Va. – The Richard Bland men and women's track and field team is set to head down to Newport News, Va. to compete in the Christopher Newport University Holiday Open on Saturday, Dec. 6th.

This weekend's meet will mark the last competition for the Statesmen before winter break begins.

Competing in the men's 60-meter dash will be Marcus Finne (Fredericksburg, VA) and Joshua Washington (Woodbridge, VA). Finnie and Washington will also participate in the men's 200-meter dash along with Nick Horn (Winston-Salem, N.C.).

Horn, Andrae McGowan (Hampton, VA), Washington and Oliver Smith (Glen Allen, VA) will represent RBC in the men's 400-meter dash, following McGowan, Horn and Smith whom will compete in the men's 600-meter dash.

In the men's high jump and long jump, Finnie will compete for the Statesmen while Antonio Boone (Suffolk, VA) will particpate in the men's long jump.

Lastly, Torry Miller (Chesterfield, VA) will compete in the men's shot put, following Boone whom will represent RBC in the men's triple jump.

The competition is set to begin at 10 a.m.
