WASHINGTON WINS MEN’S 200-METER DASH

 

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Richard Bland track and field teams wrapped up its trip of the 2015 Vince Brown Invitational with great highlights including a victory in the men's 200-meter dash on Sunday at Freeman Hall.

 

All-American Joshua Washington (Woodbridge, VA) had a solid weekend for the Statesmen, he ran a sizzling hot 21.93 to earn first place in the men's 200-meter dash. Washington also, finished second in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 6.89.

 

Dominique Reeves (Hampton, VA) finished fifth in men's triple jump with a lifetime-best 14.02m/46' feet.

 

Marcus Finnie (Fredericksburg, VA) showed a lifetime-best 6.41m in the long jump to place thirteenth and ran a lifetime-best of 7.14 seconds.

 

Richard Bland will return to action on Sunday, Feb. 22 when they travel to Lynchburg, Va. to compete in the 2015 Hornets Sprint, Jump and Throw Challenge.
