RBC TRAVELS TO KENT TAYLOR INVITATIONAL

RBC TRAVELS TO KENT TAYLOR INVITATIONAL

PETERSBURG, Va. – The Richard Bland College track and field teams will make a trip down I-85 South to Chapel Hill to compete in the Kent Taylor Invitational Saturday, Feb. 21. The meet will begin at 10 a.m.

The meet features several college teams, unattached athletes and professional athletes.

RBC has forced competitive competition this season, and the Kent Taylor won't end that. Richard Bland will be looking to set qualifying times for the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in events where athletes are pushed to the limit.

In the previous trip the team made to Newport News, Va., sophomore and All-American Joshua Washington (Woodbridge, VA) ran a sizzling hot 6.89 in the 60- meter dash and 21.93 in the 200-meter dash to win the Vince Brown Invitational hosted by Christopher Newport University with hopes of doing it again this weekend.

A recap of performances and results will be available on rbcathletics.com at the conclusion of the meet.
