TRACK & FIELD TO COMPETE IN GEORGE MASON LAST CHANCE MEET SUNDAY

PETERSBURG, Va. – The Richard Bland College track and field teams will travel to Fairfax, Va. on Sunday, Mar. 1st to compete in the Last Chance Meet hosted by George Mason University. The meet will be the final opportunity for athletes to qualify for upcoming championships and the National Junior College Athletic Association Championships.

 

The meet will start at 9 a.m. at the George Mason Field House, admission is free to the public.

 

Richard Bland will be in company of several other  institutions including,  Allen, Augustana (S.D.), Barton, Bowie State, CC of Philadelphia, CCBC Essex, Christopher Newport, Concord, Coppin State, Delaware, Delaware State, District of Columbia, Frostburg State, George Mason, Gwynedd-Mercy, Hood, Lees-McRae, Lenoir-Rhyne, Limestone, Louisburg College, Loyola (Md.), LUXCun, Mars Hill,  Mary Washington, Methodist, Mount Olive, Mount St. Mary's,  Navy, Neumann, Notre Dame (Ohio), Penn State, Queens (N.C.), Queens (N.Y.), Salisbury, Shorter, St. Augustine's, St. Joseph's (Pa.), Towson, Virginia State, Wagner, West Virginia Wesleyan,  Seton Hall, Stevenson, Temple, William and Mary, Winston-Salem St., York (Pa.).

 

On the women's side, Tia Holmes (Thomas Dale), Auburn Bex (Warwick), Nia Adeeb (Monacan), Dallas Tennessee (Lee-Davis), and Cassandra Nnaji (Paul VI) will represent the Statesmen.

 

On the men's side, Joshua Washington (Forest Park), Dominique Revis (Phoebus), Terrelle Robinson (Patrick Henry), Marcus Finnie (James Monroe), and Torry Miller (Monacan) will compete for the Statesmen.
