IN FOCUS: TRACK AND FIELD EDITION – SOPHOMORE DOMINIQUE REVIS

"In Focus" is a weekly feature on RBCathletics.com that will highlight student-athletes from 11 intercollegiate athletic programs that make up "RBC Statesmen"

Each edition, RBC Athletic Communications Assistant chats with selected student-athletes from various programs to get inside their world and let us know a little more about them.

This edition features sophomore Dominique Revis of the men's track and field team. The Hampton, Va., native competes in the long and triple jump. He jumped a lifetime-best of 15.22 meters to claim the men's triple jump at the VCU Ram Invite on Mar. 21.

Revis currently ranks sixth in the country in the triple jump.

With Nationals a few days away, Revis and his teammates are gearing up for the 2015 Outdoor Track and Field Nationals held at Hutchinson, Kan. He was nice enough to take the time out with sports information director to give us a little more of an in-depth look at himself.

How did you decide RBC was the right place for you?

RBC was the right place for me because it was good first step, I liked the fact that I could help start a program and I felt like RBC would help me grow.

What is your personal goal this season and what are the team's goals for the season?

My personal goal this season was to keep getting better every meet and place high at nationals. My team's goals is to continue to compete at the highest level possible and get multiple national qualifiers.

My favorite athletic moment at RBC was knowing that the program was going to continue and making it nationals.

A fun fact about me that people may not know is that I am a great cook, there is nothing I cannot cook.
