CABRERA COMPETES AT GEORGE MASON INVITATIONAL

Fairfax, VA, October 5, 2013- Ricardo Cabrera was the only runner to compete against the other NCAA Cross Country squads at the George Mason Invitational, yet he did not disappoint. "Ricardo competed and finished well against a tough field of NCAA Division I runners", said Coach Matt High. Cabrera finished with a time of 31:33 placing him 24th overall out of 30 participants.

The freshman from Mills E. Godwin High School in Richmond, VA has been training constantly and feels as if he can finish high at the NJCAA Region meet on October 11, 2013 in Charlotte, NC at the McAlpine Park where it is known to be a very fast course. "The course today was a very difficult one, but I am glad that Ricardo was able to finish and compete well", added High. The Statesmen will compete next at the NJCAA Regional meet October 11, 2013. The qualifiers will then be selected to compete at the NJCAA National meet in Fort Dodge, IA.
