STATESMEN SOFTBALL PARTICIPATE IN CHALLENGE DISCOVERY

RICHMOND, Va. – The Richard Bland softball team participated in a team building activity at the University of Richmond for Challenge Discovery this past weekend.

"Overall it was an awesome day, our girls met the challenge with great attitudes," associate head coach Jennie Harp said.

"All of them were pushed outside of their comfort zone, and hopefully they can carry what they learned about themselves and each other into the spring season."

Challenge Discovery is a nonprofit organization that provides customized programs to more than 150 groups from schools, colleges, churches and other organizations each year using experiential learning based on experience, learn, grow, change and methodology.

Its mission is to engage people in powerful and fun experience-based learning activities as a catalyst for building relationships, improving self-esteem and supporting one's peers.

The Statesmen softball team is currently in fall season and will participate in their final game of the year on Oct. 26th at Randolph Macon College. First pitch is slated for noon.
