CLEMENTS RANKS TOP INCOMING FRESHMEN FOR SOFTBALL

 

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.  – The Richard Bland College freshman short-stop Whitney Clements (Prince George) was named to the 2014-2015 National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Softball Top Newcomers Team on January 16, 2015.

 

The Prince George native, earned a .472 batting average (34-72), following seven doubles, two triples and three home runs her sophomore season. Clements collected 34 RBI's and was a perfect 10-for-10 in the stolen base category.

 

As a freshman for Prince George High School, Clements was named first-team All Central District Outfield. Her sophomore season, she was named first-team All Central District Infield, second-team All Central Region Infield and second-team All-Metro Richmond Times Dispatch.

 

Clements was selected first-team All Central District Infield and honorable mention All-Central Region her junior year.
