SOFTBALL RANKED No. 1 IN PRESEASON NJCAA DII DISTRICT F

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Richard Bland College softball team earned it highest preseason ranking in program history for the second consecutive year at No. 1 for the District F.In conjunction with the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, predictions were based off a survey provided to all NJCAA member softball programs.

The Statesmen were 24-11 overall and 15-5 in Region X competition. As a team, the Statesmen totaled 198 runs on the season, with a batting average of .309 at the plate, 10 homers and 157 RBI.

Richard Bland is set to begin its 2015 schedule on Friday when it opens up play in the JUCO Kickoff in Clearwater, Fla. against Northwest Florida State. Tip-off is slated for 10 a.m.
