Q: How does it feel to be named Richard Bland Athlete of the Week?
KK: It feels great!  It's awesome being recognized as a sophomore at the peak of our season, and right before I graduate in a few weeks.

Q: How did you get started in your sport and how long have you played?
KK: I started playing softball when I was eight years old.  My mom wanted me to be a cheerleader, so I did that for one year and hated it, and begged my mom to let me play softball instead.

Q: What do you like most about your team?
KK: I like that we are really like a sisterhood.  I know that I could call on any of them at a time of need and they would be there for me.  We all really trust each other.

Q: Who is your funniest teammate/why?
KK: My funniest teammate would have to be Ashley (Fritz).  She and I are just so goofy and spontaneous, and always have a great time.  I love her for that.

Q: Do you have any pregame rituals/superstitions?
KK: I don't necessarily believe in superstitions, but one thing I do before every game is say a little silent prayer to myself.

Q: What is your favorite place on campus/why?
KK: My favorite place on campus is the softball field.  Even when we aren't playing in a game or practicing, I love walking by it and getting a reminder of why I am here at RBC, and how lucky I am to play softball in college.

Q: What is your favorite class/professor/why?
KK: My favorite class is my acting class with Professor (David E.) Majewski (Speech & Theatre).  I had never taken acting classes before this semester and it is just a lot of fun.
