Richard Bland Reschedules Opening Day Once-Again Due To Weather

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, Va. -- The season-opening Richard Bland College softball doubleheader scheduled for Tuesday, February 20, against Harford (Md.) at the Statesman Softball Field has been postponed due to wet field conditions.  A rescheduled date has not been determined.

The Statesmen will now open the 2018 campaign on the road this weekend, Feb. 23-24, at NJCAA Region 10 opponents Southeastern-Whiteville (N.C.) and Florence-Darlington (S.C.).  Richard Bland will play a doubleheader at Southeastern-Whiteville on Friday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. in Whiteville, North Carolina, followed by a twinbill at Florence-Darlington on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 12 p.m. in Florence, South Carolina.

Additionally, Richard Bland has announced that it will host Hagerstown (Md.) on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 3 p.m., a doubleheader that had been postponed from Feb. 17.
