Women's Soccer Holds Strong against Washington Adventist

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William & Mary women's soccer team made a valiant effort against Washington Adventist University on Thursday, October 24. Even with the Statesmen's will to succeed, Washington led 9-0.

This upset moves RBC to 5-7-1 this season. Washington improves 6-7. The Statesmen will next play at Wake Technical Community College on Thursday, October 28, at 2 p.m.

After tough outcomes in the first half, goalkeeper Paige Brannon made an aggressive save 20 minutes into the second half, in addition to her many saves in the first half. The team successfully came together to defend a charge from Washington Adventist with five minutes left in the game. 

"We look forward to our next game against Wake Technical Community College in region 10 conference" Meghan Mauzy, assistant women's soccer coach, said,  "With the strength our team exhibited in this game, I know we are set for success in our next."
