TRACK AND FIELD CLOSES OUT COMPETITION AT VINCE BROWN INVITATIONAL
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Richard Bland women's track and field team closed out competition on Sunday, Feb. 8, of the Vince Brown Invitational, hosted by Christopher Newport University.
Tia Holmes (Chester, VA) placed eight in the women's long jump with a personal-best 5.14m. In the shot, Cassandra Nnaji (Falls Church, VA) was 21st with a throw of 33'11'' (10.34m).
The cavalry green and white is back in action on Sunday, Feb. 21 at the 2015 Hornets Sprint, Jump and Throw Challenge in Lynchburg, Va.
