RBC TRACK AND FIELD VOLUNTEER WITH PETERSBURG HIGH SCHOOL

PETERSBURG, Va. – It has been a great month to be a Statesmen as numerous of the Richard Bland College track and field student-athletes have been volunteering their personal time at Petersburg High School track and field practices.

The Statesmen have been working with the Crimson Wave track and field teams over the month on their own to help the students train and prepare for upcoming meets, in addition to providing instructions and motivation to the students.

"For our student-athletes to come out on their own to assist our local community is outstanding," said head coach Kerry Gray. "It speaks volumes about our athletic program and we want to continue to get out into the community."

Volunteering with Petersburg High School will count as a community service initiative for the Statesmen and they will continue working with the students for the remainder of the year.

The Statesmen will return to action on Saturday, April 3 to compete in the Liberty Collegiate Invitational outdoor track and field.
