WASHINGTON EARNS SILVER TO CONCLUDE 2015 OUTDOOR NATIONAL TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The 2015 Outdoor National Track and Field Championships concluded on Saturday, May 16 at the Gowans Stadium in Hutchinson, Kan. Despite the weather conditions that delayed the championship for multiple hours, Richard Bland pushed through with pride as Joshua Washington earned runner-up honors in the men's 200 meter dash.

 

Washington took home the silver in the 200 meter dash after crossing the line at 20.88. Marcus Finnie (Fredericksburg, VA) recorded an 11th place finish in the long jump with a mark of 7.20 meters, while Dominique Revis (Hampton, VA) finished in the top-15 after jumping 15.22 meters in the triple jump for 12th place.

 

On the women's side, Thomas Dale High School product Tia Holmes recorded a 12th place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.23 meters and Evan Wagner (Gloucester, VA) placed 15th in the high jump after a 1.63 mark.
