Richard Bland Falls On The Road At Lenoir (N.C.) 3-0

KINSTON, N.C. -- Richard Bland College dropped a 3-0 women's volleyball decision at Region X East Division member Lenoir (N.C.) Community College on Monday night in Kinston, North Carolina.  Freshman Taylor Laxton/Wakefield led the visiting Statesmen (2-14) with five kills and two blocks, classmate Caitlin Stout/Dinwiddie added 22 digs, while freshman Avery Munden/Chesterfield added eight digs and three kills against the host Lancers (9-5), who took the sets by scores of 25-14, 25-17 and 25-12. 

Richard Bland will host its final home contest against Region X East Division Bryant & Stratton College on Tuesday, October 17, at 6 p.m. in Statesman Hall on Sophomore Night for Statesmen Alexis Lyons/Prince George, Sara Gardner/Chester and McKenzi Thorne/Chester.  

Richard Bland concludes its inaugural campaign with a pair of matches at Wake Technical (N.C.) Community College on Friday, Oct. 20 in Raleigh, North Carolina … versus West Division Surry (N.C.) Community College at 4:30 p.m. and against West Division Wake Tech at 6 p.m.
