Statesmen Fall to Lake Sumter in Consolation Game at Nationals

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Women's Volleyball team moves to 19-10 overall after finishing the season this morning in the consolation game of the NJCAA National Tournament.

 

The Statesmen battled in 3 sets against Lake Sumter State College but fell short with the following set scores; 25-17, 25-18, and 25-23. Hailey Hopkins was credited with 7 kills, while Sophia Kaiser had 6 kills and 5 digs. Sydney Phillips and Gabby Figueroa had 5 kills each, and Phillips recorded 8 digs. Rylie Harris earned 20 digs in the loss.
