Beach Volleyball Finishes 5th at Inaugural NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Tournament

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College beach volleyball team finishes the season at 21-8 overall after the final day of the NJCAA Inaugural Beach Volleyball National Tournament. In match one, the Statesmen rematched the State College of Florida. In match two, the Statesmen faced the Thunderbirds from Mesa Community College.

 

In match one, the Statesmen pairs earned revenge, defeating the Manatees from the State College of Florida, 3-1.

Pairing 1: Sarah Heath and Karagyn Durco fell to the Manatees 17-21 and 15-21.

Pairing 2: Rylie Harris and Leilani Goggin did not complete their match due to the Statesmen already picking up 3 wins.

Pairing 3: Sophia Kaiser and Jadyn Brown defeated the Manatees 21-17 and 21-17.

Pairing 4: Sydney Phillips and Morgan Green defeated the Manatees 21-19 and 21-16.

Pairing 5: Georgia Alexander and Jordan May defeated the Manatees 21-19 and 21-12.

 

In match two, the Statesmen pairs defeated the Thunderbirds from Mesa Community College, 3-2.

Pairing 1: Sarah Heath and Karagyn Durco defeated the Thunderbirds 15-21, 21-7, and 15-5.

Pairing 2: Rylie Harris and Leilani Goggin defeated the Thunderbirds 21-14, 18-21, and 15-4.

Pairing 3: Sophia Kaiser and Jadyn Brown fell to the Thunderbirds 9-21, 21-10, and 12-15.

Pairing 4: Sydney Phillips and Morgan Green defeated the Thunderbirds 21-17 and 21-16.

Pairing 5: Jordan May and Georgia Alexander fell to the Thunderbirds 13-21 and 15-21.
