Beach Volleyball Grabs Two Wins on Final Day of Liberty Tournament
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College beach volleyball moves to 9-1 overall, 2-0 in conference play after day two of the Liberty University Tournament.
In dual one, the Statesmen pairs defeated the Hornets of the University of Lynchburg, 3-2.
Pair 1: Sarah Heath and Alexis Scipione defeated the Hornets 13-21, 21-13, and 15-10.
Pair 2: Leilani Goggin and Aubrey Hyndshaw fell to the Hornets 21-23 and 10-21.
Pair 3: Morgan Green and Jordan Schlageter defeated the Hornets 13-21, 21-19, and 15-6.
Pair 4: Peyton Ostenson and Kiley Pickett fell to the Hornets 19-21, 21-19, and 13-15.
Pair 5: Addison White and Phoebe Heath defeated the Hornets 16-21, 21-18, and 15-8.
In dual two, the Statesmen pairs defeated the Rhinos of Gaston College, 3-2.
Pair 1: Sarah Heath and Alexis Scipione defeated the Rhinos 21-13 and 21-17.
Pair 2: Leilani Goggin and Aubrey Hyndshaw defeated the Rhinos 21-15, 16-21, and 16-14.
Pair 3: Morgan Green and Jordan Schlageter fell to the Rhinos 15-21 and 15-21.
Pair 4: Peyton Ostenson and Kiley Pickett fell to the Rhinos 12-21 and 16-21.
Pair 5: Addison White and Phoebe Heath defeated the Rhinos 21-12 and 21-9.
The Richard Bland College beach volleyball team next travels to Wake Technical Community College on Tuesday, March 5th for a doubleheader dual with the Eagles, beginning at 1pm.
