Beach Volleyball Wins Two on Final Day of Pool Play

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College beach volleyball moves to 21-12 overall after day one of pool play at the NJCAA National Tournament in Huntsville, Alabama Wednesday afternoon.

 

In dual one of the day, the Statesmen defeated the Rhinos of Gaston College, 5-0.

Pair 1: Sarah Heath and Jordan Schlageter defeated the Rhinos 23-21, 14-21, and 15-7.

Pair 2: Leilani Goggin and Alexis Scipione defeated the Rhinos 21-11, 11-21, and 15-12.

Pair 3: Morgan Green and Kiley Pickett defeated the Rhinos 21-16 and 21-19.

Pair 4: Aubrey Hyndshaw and Addison White defeated the Rhinos 21-10 and 21-13.

Pair 5: Phoebe Heath and Peyton Ostenson defeated the Rhinos 21-8 and 21-16.

 

In dual two of the day, the Statesmen defeated the Lake Hawks of Lake Sumter State College, 3-2.

Pair 1: Sarah Heath and Jordan Schlageter defeated the Lake Hawks 22-20 and 21-16.

Pair 2: Leilani Goggin and Alexis Scipione defeated the Lake Hawks 21-17 and 21-13.

Pair 3: Morgan Green and Kiley Pickett fell to the Lake Hawks 11-21 and 17-21.

Pair 4: Addison White and Aubrey Hyndshaw fell to the Lake Hawks 21-10, 23-21, and 11-15.

Pair 5: Phoebe Heath and Peyton Ostenson defeated the Lake Hawks 21-18 and 21-18.

 

The Richard Bland College beach volleyball team enters the Championship Bracket tomorrow, May 4th taking on Sandhills Community College at 8am CT/9am ET in the Quarterfinals. With a win, the Statesmen will advance to the Semifinals at 10:30am CT/11:30am ET in a rematch with State College of Florida.
