Esports Earns Wins Monday Evening

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College Esports team competed in three separate matches Monday evening. The Statesmen faced Finger Lakes Community College in Fortnite 2v2 No Build, and Rose State College and Finger Lakes Community College in Tekken 8.

In the Fornite 2v2 No Build match, Richard Bland secured a win, defeating the Lakers of Finger Lakes Community College 2-0. Jayden Robbins and William Simpkins got the job done for the Statesmen.

In match one of Tekken 8, Richard Bland defeated Raiders of Rose State College, 3-0. Isaac Bates earned the victory for Richard Bland. In match two of Tekken 8, the Statesmen defeated Finger Lakes Community College, 3-1, with Isaac Bates picking up another win on the evening.

The Richard Bland College Esports team is prepping for the post season tournament within NJCAAE. Seasonal standings for all four Statesmen teams, will be shared soon.
