Esports Earns Four Wins Last Week

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College Esports team competed in five separate titles last week to include: Marvel Rivals, Fortnite No-Build, Fortnite Build, Tekken 8, and Valorant. Last week, the Statesmen faced Iowa Western Community College, Finger Lakes Community College, Marshalltown Community College, and North Iowa Community College.

 

On February 24th the Marvels Rivals group of Isaac Bates, Zack Brooks, Makayla Chapman, Jayden Robbins, Malachi Stubbs, and DeAndre Taylor dropped the match 0-3 to Iowa Western Community College.

 

On February 24th the Fortnite No-Build pair of Jayden Robbins and DeAndre Taylor defeated Finger Lakes Community College 2-0.

 

On February 25th the Fortnite Build pair of Trent Callaham and Jayden Robbins defeated Marshalltown Community College 2-0.

 

On February 26th Isaac Bates competed in pool play for Tekken 8 with a match one loss of 2-3, and a match two win due to opponent disqualification.

 

On February 27th Andrew Barr, Andrew Basham, Dorien Diggs, Cedric Moore Jr., and Malachi Stubbs competed in a Valorant matchup with North Iowa Community College and earned a 2-0 win.

 

At the conclusion of this week's matchups, scores will be announced for the entire week for each title.

 

With spring break next week, the Richard Bland College Esports team will take the week off from competition, and pick back up on March 17th for Marvels Rivals and Fortnite No-Build matches.
