STATESMEN DROP DIVISION I FOE SPARTANBURG METHODIST COLLEGE

PETERSBURG, VA, December 19, 2013-The Statesmen took it to the Pioneers from the opening tip and never trailed in the game to win 71-58. Richard Bland now holds a record of 11-1 and will look to climb back into the National Polls.

The Statesmen were led by Micah Thomas' 21 points which all came by way of seven three point field goals, Tavon Mealy collected another double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds, while Brian Adkins added 10 points off the bench. The Pioneers were led by Kaheem Praylow who scored 16 points. The Statesmen will return to action on January 11, 2014 at 12 noon against Fishburne Military Academy at Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, VA.
