Men’s Basketball Grabs Comeback Win Over Harford

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA - The Richard Bland College men's basketball team moves to 9-4 overall, 2-0 in conference play after hosting the Fighting Owls of Harford Community College Tuesday evening.

Harford held a narrow 27-20 lead at the half. Despite the seven point deficit, the Statesmen outscored the Fighting Owls 47-32 in the second half to pick up the non conference comeback win at home.

Three Statesmen had double-digit figures in the win. Kevon West led the offense with 13 points. West added five assists, two steals, and one rebound. Ben Jones tallied 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals off the bench. Eric Wood chipped in with his first double-double of the season with 11 points, 16 boards, three assists and one block.  

The Richard Bland men's basketball team next travels to Brunswick Community College for the BCC Holiday Classic this weekend. The Statesmen open play on Friday, December 16^th against Harcum College at 3pm. On Saturday, December 17^th Richard Bland will have a second meeting with Monroe College at 1pm. On Sunday, December 18^th Richard Bland will close out the Holiday Classic against Chattanooga State Community College at 2pm. Stay tuned to RBC Athletics social media for game updates and scores.
