Men’s Basketball Falls to Conference Foe

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA - The Richard Bland College men's basketball team moves to 9-8 overall, 2-1 in conference play after hosting Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute Saturday afternoon.

Richard Bland trailed by a narrow two-point margin at the half, 40-42. The Statesmen would fall just short as the Cobras were victorious 82-75. Four Statesmen scored double-digit figures in the conference loss. Kevon West led all scorers with 17 points. West added six assists, two rebounds and two steals. Martin Kawa had 16 points, six steals, four rebounds and three assists. Off the bench, Noryen Lasley chipped in with 14 points, six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal. Larry Howell added 13 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The Richard Bland College men's basketball team next travels to Bryant & Stratton College (VA) on Wednesday, January 11^th. Tip-off is set for 7pm.
