Men’s Basketball Defeats Panthers on the Road

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA - The Richard Bland College men's basketball team moves to 11-12 overall, 3-4 in conference play after traveling to Denmark Technical College Saturday afternoon.

Richard Bland took an early 32-19 lead at the break. The Statesmen outscored the Panthers in the second half, to defeat Denmark Technical College, 60-42 on the road.

Kevon West led the way for Richard Bland with17 points. West added four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Martin Kawa followed close behind with 16 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block. Larry Howell, Eric Wood, Ben Jones, and Ibrahim Kourouma had six points each. Howell also added 11 rebounds and four assists, while Wood chipped in with eight rebounds.

Richard Bland went 46.2% from the charity stripe, 46.2% from the field, and 50.0% at the perimeter.

The Richard Bland College men's basketball team next travels to Sandhills Community College Wednesday, February 8^th for a non conference contest.
