Bio

Scott joined RBC for his first season as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach in the 2019-20 season. Previous to arriving at RBC, Scott served as the Head Assistant Basketball Coach at St. Andrews University in North Carolina for the past three seasons.

Prior to his coaching career, Scott played collegiately at St. Andrews University for two seasons, serving as team captain. While at SAU, Scott was selected to an Academic All-Conference team. His first stint as a college basketball player was at Patrick Henry Community College, where he played one season.

Along with his collegiate coaching duties, Scott serves as an assistant coach for Team Loaded Virginia’s 16U Adidas Gauntlet Gold team that consists of countless Division 1 players. He is also a Point Guard College (PGC) Basket Instructor, which is one of the most highly regarded basketball camps in the world. In the offseason, Scott trains high-level high school/college players and works numerous high-profile basketball camps, such as Scouts Focus and the internationally known Global Squad Camp, where over 100+ players from around the world come to the United States for one month of college level training, classroom sessions, and AAU tournaments.

In 2018, Scott led the U19 USA-West SaWUSA team to their first Gold Medal at the United World Games in Klagenfurt, Austria, making history as the first U19 team in any sport to ever win a gold medal in the organization.

A native of Hampton, Virginia, Scott earned his Masters of Business Administration in 2019 from St. Andrews University, a couple of years after completing his B.A. in Psychology in 2016. Throughout his academic career, Scott made the Dean’s List in three different semesters: 2013, 2014, and 2016.
