STORM OVERCOMES THE STATESMEN AT HOME

Petersburg, VA, October 3, 2013- The Statesmen fell despite hitting two goals to tie the game midway in the second half. The Storm came back to put the game out of reach and sealing the win 4-2. The Storm was led in scoring by Michael Cagle with a goal and Ian Craig who recorded a hat trick nailing three scores.

The Storm out shot the Statesmen 25-15 for the game. The Statesmen were led by Asnaf Salihovic who scored two goals. His first came on a header off of an assist by Andrew Piner, while Marcus Carter assisted on the second goal on a throw in from the sideline.

The Statesmen are back in action Sunday afternoon October 6, 2013 against the Indians of USC-Salkehatchie. The game is scheduled at 1:00 p.m.
