STATESMEN DROP TWO ON THE ROAD

Lancaster, SC, October 23-The Richard Bland Statesmen returned from a two match road trip and came up empty. The Statesmen lost to the Indians of USC-Salkehatchie by the score of 4-1 and the following day fell to USC-Lancaster 7-0.

The Statesmen struggled against teams all season with low roster numbers, however, continued to battle through the adversity and remain competitive. The bright spots against USC-Salkehatchie were Asnaf Salihovic who scored on a cross from an assist by Marcus Carter and goalkeeper Doug Jackson who had 12 saves and Dominique Dessaso had a great game at left back with several blocked shots and tackles.

The Statesmen will take on the Pioneers of Spartanburg Methodist this Staurday, October 26, 2013 at 1:00 pm.
